Summary Description
The Operations Director is responsible for the safe and efficient flow of materials and management of the 3PL (KRA’s/delivery/contracts) required to meet customer demand. This role manages all strategy and daily activities of the following departments: Sales and Operations Planning; Procurement; Packaging; and Environmental Health and Safety in UK/Europe.

Key metrics for this position include: Days Safe; ITO; Labour Efficiency; Gross Margin; Financial Targets; Budget Management

Duties & Responsibilities
• Environmental Health and Safety:
• Drive efficient execution of programs designed to create and sustain a culture of safety
• Development of annual safety strategy with the Manager of EHS and 3PL site management
• Ensure compliance with all relevant local and national environmental regulations
• Procurement:
• Approve all new sourcing programs to include 3PL contract & freight carriers
• Facilitate the development of local sourcing opportunities of materials vs. transferring from US
• Operations and Packaging:
• Coordinate and execute medium to long term capacity and staffing plan
• Assemble and develop high performing Operations leadership team
• Cultivate culture of efficiency in manufacturing areas, driving programs focused on Safety, Quality and Customer Service
• Develop and achieve annual goals for Labour Efficiency and Order Fulfilment
• Coordinate with US based Supply Team on inventory strategy and stock replenishment
• Continue to develop program to label more product in UK/Europe
• Project Management:
• Drive adoption of Project Management best practice across organisation
• Liaison with US team

Qualifications
• BA or equivalent business experience; MBA a plus
• 10+ years’ experience leading a Operations organisation
